This is a basic medical need, not a silly whim. My community is divided by class - my sisters shouldn’t have to hook just to [earn the money] to be seen as the women they are. My brothers shouldn’t have to wear tight chest-binders during hard labor [just to earn the money to be seen as the men they are].

OK, so I’m really only in the top 3%. But that’s high enough to benefit from the way the system is designed to favor the wealthy. Banking, investing, medical, education, information access, legal. EVER public benefit I get is supported by the rest of you. And this is no big secret: everyone at the top except for the congenitally stupid and the certifiably delusional know that the game is rigged in our favor. I am the 3%. I stand with the 97%
As a vegetable farmer and a mother of small children, my biggest concern for humanity is the dramatic climate change I see coming our way.
As a member of the 1% and a trustee of a 3 small family foundations, I know that without a more equitable distribution of wealth, we won’t be able to come together as a country or as a globe to solve the most important issues of our times.
